SOFT TISSUE MOBILIZATION TECHNIQUES

ADHESION BREAKERS SOFT TISSUE MOBILIZATION

  • A surgical grade stainless steel instrument specifically designed to detect and treat fibrotic changes within muscles and ligaments that occur through micro adhesions. This impedes the joints functional range of motion and nerve conductivity.

  • Its effectiveness is releasing these restrictions in the soft tissue that alters the joints biomechanics and neuromusculoskeletal elements.

  • Adhesion Breakers (like Graston & FAKTR) are highly used among professional and collegiate athletes because it helps stabilize and correct the soft tissue biomechanics, decrease pain, and reduce recover time.

CLINICAL KINESIO® TAPING APPLICATION

  • Kinesio® taping method is design facilitates the body’s natural healing process, and to provide extended support and stability to the muscles and joints without restricting full range motion. By targeting specific weaknesses and imbalances the tape will decrease inflammation, alleviate pain, increase circulation and facilitates lymphatic drainage. Thus allowing reconditioning of soft tissue injuries and strengthening the muscular imbalances and weaknesses. This process allows the body to return to its natural state of homeostasis.

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE & TRIGGER POINT TECHNIQUE

  • Is another form of Active Release Technique. The clinician engages the fascia area of restrictions to release the tension “taut bands” within the muscle fibers. This is done by putting the muscle through is full range of motion, either actively or passively. This attempt is to allow the elongation and stretch of the muscle and tissue fascia, allowing the muscle to release the restrictions or tension within the muscle fibers.
